When We Are Closed
If telephoning the surgery outside normal surgery hours, your call will be diverted to Care UK, the company providing out-of-hours care for NHS Rotherham's patients. If it is decided you need to see a doctor, appropriate arrangements will be made for you.
Walk In Centre
NHS Rotherham (formerly Rotherham PCT) also provides a Walk-in Centre to deal with minor ailments, illnesses and injuries. It is open from 8am to 9pm every day including Bank Holidays (excluding Christmas Day).
It is staffed by GPs and nurses, and is now based at the new Rotherham Community Health Centre, Greasbrough Road, Rotherham (near Bailey House). No appointment is necessary
NHS Direct
In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call
NHS Direct (0845 4647) to speak to a triage nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.
Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
