Counselling

teen_counsellingThe practice currently has Mental Health Nurse who works Monday to Wednesday and a PCN Mental Health Worker who attends the Practice on a Wednesday.  If you feel you need to speak to our Mental Health Workers about any problems you may be having please contact the surgery. You can also self refer to the IAPT ( Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) by calling 01709 302630 and they will arrange for an appointment to be made for you.

Primary Care Mental Health Practitioners

Also part of the Primary Care Mental Health Team are specialist nurses, who can offer short term therapeutic interventions for people with a range of moderate mental health difficulties. They provide individual treatment sessions aimed at helping people understand their difficulties and learn techniques to manage them effectively.

Substance Misuse Clinic

Held on Tuesdays in conjunction with a specialist drugs worker and Dr Brynes. The service is available to anyone aged 21 or over with with substance misuse problems. Appointments for initial assessment with the Specialist can be made in the normal way at reception. If you wish to discuss your problem first with a doctor, please make an appointment with Dr Brynes , who is  the clinical leads for substance misuse in the practice.

Alcohol Counselling Service

Alcohol Counselling is available to anyone who feels they may have an alcohol problem. We can refer to Clearways who provide an alcohol service support and advise
